As an intern, you will work closely with festival directors, and you will have plenty of opportunity to learn new skills and showcase your talent by taking on projects and making them your own. In addition to running our yearly festival, Indie Grits Labs runs media education programming through our after school programs, adult workshops, and media literacy lab field trips. We are looking for qualified candidates with experience in video production, audio production, editing, media theory, and education that are interested in working with students of all ages to create and engage with media in a critical fashion. Want to teach a class? Submit a class proposal! We offer a full slate of adult workshops for ages 15 and up throughout the year, and are always wanting to connect with members of the community who would like to instruct a workshop. All classes take place at Indie Grits Labs and vary in length and duration—one workshop may meet once a week for four weeks, whereas another workshop may only meet once.
